The table shows how teenagers, adults and seniors in Country X spent their free time on four activities in 2023. Overall, screen time was the most common activity for teenagers but became progressively less common with age, while reading and socialising together took up the greatest proportion of seniors' free time. Screen time accounted for forty-five percent of teenagers' free time, compared with twenty-five percent for adults and just fifteen percent for seniors. Sport and exercise followed a similar downward pattern with age, though the difference was smaller, ranging from twenty percent for teenagers to fifteen percent for both adults and seniors. By contrast, reading and socialising rose steadily across the three groups. Reading made up just ten percent of teenagers' free time but climbed to twenty-five percent for adults and thirty-five percent for seniors. Socialising showed a similar trend, rising from twenty-five percent among teenagers to thirty-five percent among both adults and seniors, together accounting for seventy percent of seniors' free time.
